Litt Dance Collective (LDC) is a collective founded in 2020 by Christina Litt Belch that aims to create mindful, expressive and dynamic movement, while focusing on the intimate connection between music and dance.

Christina believes that through symbiotic exploration of music and dance we can express both passion and joy. As a musician, dance artist, and choreographer, she hopes to merge these two art forms to explore the freedom of expression that can be found by trusting what is already within us.

Currently, LDC’s work includes investigation of improvisation practices between dancers and musicians live and on video. In LDC’s creative process, the music is sculpted as the movement material develops; these two elements are of equal importance and feed off of each other greatly. As each performance unfolds, musicians play composed pieces of music as well as partake in live improvisation. At the same time, dancers play with the delicate balance between flowing through choreography and improvisation.
